September Wish List!

Zara Summer Sale 2013!

You can't imagine the excitement that came over me when I went to Zara's website a few days before payday only to find that the annual Spring/Summer sale had started- everything is on sale!! I have already assembled my shopping cart online and will be able to purchase them in a couple days- its kind of a window shopping security blanket. Here's a look at whats currently in my shopping cart:

Combination Denim Top: The perfect shirt to play with double denim, this boxy cut is essential for me trying to disguise my belly during my period of weight loss lol. I've also wanted a denim/chambray top since last fall and this one's perfect and not the usual button up.
Combination Checked Sweater: I LOVE LOVE LOVE a cute crew-neck, they're so easy to throw on with jeans or trousers and your outfits basically done. The tartan sleeves on this one takes it up a notch and with a gold or neon statement necklace, this look is complete.
Checked Blouse: More tartan, whats better than that. This is one of the items that should be a closet staple for men and women, plaid never goes out of style- great for layering, wearing on your hip a-la Leandra Medine or just by itself. Simple must have.

Skull Print Shirt: Okay so I've been totally over the skull/cross/stud phase everyone is going through (and still am) but this print stood out to me out of all the others I've seen this season..maybe its the skulls and red squares against the cream? Whatever it is, this is the only skull anything you'll see me purchase any time soon.

Asymmetric Hem Sweater: My closet is full of prints and textures but not nearly enough basic items. Over sized, lightweight and slightly longer in the back makes this sweater an easy garment to pair with cutoffs, trousers, jeans and overalls as well as transitioning well into spring.

Basic Thong Sandal with Buckle: Neutral sandals go with everything- get a pair of light-washed boyfriend jeans and this is perfect for those walks to class on campus.

Make sure you guys go check out the sale, not sure when it ends but everything online is marked down. Don't miss out on this one, next one comes around new years. Happy shopping!!

Creepin'

I've had my creepers for a while now, and never get the chance to wear them because they are SO UNCOMFORTABLE- but decided to wear them today in the rain. My opinion on these is still a mere "meh" but I'm also wondering if maybe the original black pair aren't so ill-fitting...none the less i still enjoyed wearing them considering I wanted them for so long-ha.

Happy Happy 4th America!

Ah, even though it's the beginning of July it still doesn't feel like summer to me since I'm currently taking summer classes at uni and I work Monday-Friday during the week. My life constantly feels like I'm preparing for the next day's tasks instead of enjoying the warm and comforting moments summertime has to offer. However this week I found time to escape to the beach with some of my closest girlfriends for the fourth of July. We spent most of the day looking for parking (it was a nightmare!) but once we found the valet, we only had about 2 hours left with the sun. Makeup free, hair product free and worry free was exactly how I wanted it and exactly how I enjoyed it! By the way here are a few products that stay by my side at the beach, literally can't travel without them...
The rainbow flip-flops are a MUST, I've had mine since my sophomore year in high school and just can't part with my beat up pair and the ray-bans are a timeless addition to all beachwear. But my new essentials have to be the MAC Studio fix concealer, Hawaiian Tropic Royal Tanning Blend continuous spray tanning oil, Rose Bud Salve, NARS Dovima nail polish and Garnier's Power Putty Surfer Hair. I could go on and on about how great these products are but I'll save that for a favorites post! Hope you guys enjoyed your weekend as much as I did!

It's About Time!

No really it is about time I start tending to this blog, which I've had for about 4 years now. It started out as a way to spend my free time and write about fashion, DIY, styling and everything else lifestyle related- and well...tumblr came along. However,  my tumblr has become a visual representation of my personal aesthetic instead of a traditional "blog", but thats what most tumblrs are like versus a blogger's well, um- blog. I'm hoping this new project will keep me on my toes with trying new things and branching out this school year. I have a lot in store for this blog and the people who read it, like you! As well as many personal goals I wish to accomplish. Can't wait to kick things off next week on here...here we go!
