As soon as I saw the Clarissa Sandals I knew it was love at first sight. So naturally I immediately bought them online and now all I can do is patiently wait for them to arrive at my door--ugh hurryyyy. But seriously, how amazing are these- I can't wait to pair them with everything. I have a feeling that minimalesque sandals will be my obsession once the weather gets out of its confused phase here in RVA.

Why Hello There, It's Kinda Sorta 2014!
Wow I've been on such a hiatus with TCN but I'm getting back into the groove! With this new year I have more than a lot on my plate with work, family friends and of course school. This semester I am running three blogs for different classes as well as maintaining my 2 personals- can you say crazy! I'm up for the challenge, I've called myself a social media queen so I guess this is my audition for the throne. So here's to the new year, ready..set.....GO!

The New Era of Fashion Fitness
It dawned on me the other day as I was on Polyvore lusting over the Roshe Run's in every color that I've never been more into sneakers than I am now. I mean I can remember in high school the only nikes I had to my name were my cheerleading shoes and 2 years ago I bought a pair of Free Trainer Fits to workout in but that was it. When it came to where my money was being spent, it was always on everything but athletic wear...with the exception of yoga pants and sports bras for the gym. So with my recent sneaker obsession, I went and bought a pair of basic black and white Free Runs for my birthday and I've never loved a sneaker so much. When having a conversation with some close friends of mine, one of them mentioned how they hated the Free Runs to run and train in and at that point I interrupted her- although I do workout on a weekly basis (shout-out to P90X!) I told her these shoes were strictly for athletic functional fashion--fashion fitness! Of course they thought I was crazy, but obviously they don't see the movement thats going on right now with athletic gear taking an extremely fashion forward approach. You can't browse through any fashion blog right now without seeing sneakers paired with skirts, leather joggers, white tees and even adidas soccer pants with open toe strappy sandals- and I'm all here for it.
